Biomedical Engineering Assistant Professor Position

The Henry Samueli School of Engineering at The University of California, Irvine
invites qualified applicants for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Applicants at the level of Associate Professor will also be considered.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering or related field, and will be expected to develop a broad-based extramurally funded research program. Of particular interest is a candidate whose research program investigates clinical and biological applications of engineering techniques that include photonics, computation and modeling, or microelectromechanical systems.

However, excellent candidates in other areas of biomedical engineering will be considered. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to advise students and teach undergraduate and graduate courses as well as develop collaborative programs with other faculty members within the Department and the Henry Samueli School of Engineering.

The University of California, Irvine is situated in Orange County's rapidly growing high technology sector that includes more than 150 biomedical companies which are actively involved in our program.
