Achievements:

He has taken charge of over 40 scientific research projects and has published more than 160 papers, about 80 of which have been indexed by SCI/EI/ISTP, and he has co-published 8 books including teaching material, translated books and research books.

He has gained 6 prizes including the prizes of “Scientific and Technological

Fruits of the Province and the Ministry”and “Excellent Academic Paper”.

In 1989, he was awarded the “National Advanced Worker” medal for his great contribution to the State Key Laboratories— the “Golden Ox” prize co-rewarded by the State Planning Commission, Ministry of Education and China Academy of Sciences.

He has gained the honor of “National Heliang Heli Nominated Expert”

 

Backgrounds:

From 1979 to 1982, Professor He Keqing, as the first generation of youth researcher abroad after the reform and opening-up of China, went to Japan for studying software technology, and he was attracted greatly by the new discipline- Software Engineering, and then he entered the Software Factory of Hitach Corporation for studying.

After coming back home, he firstly opened the course “Computer Software Engineering”, and in 1983 he published the book “Computer Software Engineering” which is the fist book on Software Engineering in China . This book has been printed for 3 times, and its widespread adoption as textbook in universities and colleges has taken positive and innovative effects for cultivating software technology talents and Software enterprises in our country.

In 1983, as the academic leader, Professor He Keqing, by application, planning, demonstration, founded the first Software Engineering Research Institute of our country, which is authorized by National Ministry of Education. Two years later, he founded the first State Key Laboratory of Software Engineering (SKLSE) of our country as well and acted as the director. He has made indelible contribution for the development and advancement of software engineering discipline in China .

During the period of 20 years, Professor He has cultivated a large number of excellent talents in Computer Software for our country, including master, doctor, post-doctor, teachers and etc., and now many of them have been the outstanding talents in their research domain, such as New-century Talents of Ministry of Education, the Outstanding Youth of the Province and the Ministry and CEO/CTO of large-scale software enterprises. They have been the backbone for the development of software engineering discipline and software industry in China .
