Resume:

He has been granted the honorary titles of "Excellent Personnel of Science and Technology of China ". He has received the fourth-class prize of the National Natural Science Award of China for the research on some issues for” Asynchronous Parallel Algorithm and Domain Decomposition Method”; the first-class prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the National Educational Ministry of China in 1987 for the research on “Parallel Algorithm and Domain Decomposition Method”; the first-class prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the National Educational Ministry of China in 1992 for the research on “Asynchronous Parallel Algorithm”; and the first-class prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the National Educational Ministry of China in 1996 for the research on “Evolutionary Computation and Its Parallel Processing”.

He also has received the second-class prize of the Natural Science Award of Hubei Province, the second-class prize of Innovative Worker of 863 Program, and the second-class prize of the Bright China Scientific Award in 1996 for the research on “Evolutionary Computation and Complex System Modeling.

He has supervised 37 Ph.D and 40 Masters.

He has graduated from the Mathematic Department of Wuhan University in July 1969.

He has been in charge of 15 programs including “National High-Tech 863 Plan Project”, “National Nature Science Foundation Project”, “National Nature Science Foundation Key Project”, and “National Defense Pre-research Foundation Project”.
