YING Shi

Male, Ph.D, Professor, Ph.D Supervisor, born in June 1965

Vice-Director of state Key Laboratory of Software Engineering of Wuhan University

He has mainly engaged in the work of teaching, research and application software development in software engineering.

 

Backgrounds:

In 1986, he has assigned to work at Wuhan University after graduating from Computer Science Department of Wuhan University;

In 1999, he has achieved his Ph.D degree;

In 1986, he has been appointed to be assistant of state Key Laboratory of Software Engineering of Wuhan University ;

In 1992, he has been appointed to be lecturer of state Key Laboratory of Software Engineering of Wuhan University ;

In 1996, he has been appointed to be associate professor of state Key Laboratory of Software Engineering of Wuhan University ;

In 2001, he has been appointed to be professor of state Key Laboratory of Software Engineering of Wuhan University ;

In 2002, he has been appointed to be Ph.D supervisor of state Key Laboratory of Software Engineering of Wuhan University ;

In 2000, he has been supported by Foundation for University Key Teacher by the Ministry of Education ;

In 2003, he has gained the Youth Outstanding Talent Foundation of Hubei Province .

He has been to Japan for engaging in advanced studies in Computer Software Areas.

As a visiting scholar of Ministry of Education, he has been to Japan Hokkaido University for academic interchange activity.

Scientific research:

He has participated in and completed several items of scientific research projects pf the country and the ministry, including National Science & Technology Key Project; “ 863” Project; National Nature Science Foundation Project; Military Pre-research Project; Supporting Plan Project of University Key Teacher of the Ministry of Education; Ph.D Degree Foundation Project of the Ministry of Education.

He has been in charge of Science & Technology Key Project of the Ministry of Education; Youth Science & Technology Chen'guang Plan Project of Wuhan City; Youth Outstanding Talent Foundation Project of Hubei Province; National Nature Science Foundation Project and etc.

 

Achievements:

He has published 35 academic papers in Chinese authoritative journals, 23 of which are been indexed by SCIE, EI and ISTP.

He had gained the second-class prize of Nature Science Excellent Academic Papers of Hubei Province; the second-class prize of Science & Technology Progress of Hubei Province; the third-class prize of Science & Technology Progress of Hubei Province and the third-class prize of Science & Technology Progress of Wuhan City.

 

Teaching:

He has supervised 7 Ph.D and about 50 Masters.

In addition, he has assumed teaching tasks for undergraduates and postgraduates. His teaching courses contain software Engineering and UML modeling and so on.
